My career story
I’m a Chartered Psychologist and accredited Career Coach. I've taken two career breaks and vividly recall the highs and lows of this period, alongside the challenges of returning to work. During 35 years'+ experience of development and coaching roles in Financial Services, Higher Education, Cabinet Office and the third sector, I have supported people through change, driven by a variety of reasons, to roles where skills, experience, values and practical requirements align.
I have led many selection activities during my career including interviews, presentations and promotion panels and can share my insight about how to deliver under pressure with confidence and impact. I have successfully supported neuro-diverse individuals through additional challenges when returning to work. I volunteer as a Career Coach for NHS Leadership Hub; Smart Works and University of East London.
Career breaks can be an energising time to plan where you go next. You can identify your strengths and values, working pattern, culture and environment which enable you to flourish. However, if the transition is enforced, it may be a time of uncertainty, low confidence and loss of identity where you need a safe space to adapt and practical tools to develop a new way of operating at work.
I create calm headroom to develop self-awareness and clarity about your career - enabling you to shape fresh perspectives, experiment with new skills and operate with ease. As a psychologist, I can work sensitively and insightfully with deeper issues influencing career satisfaction — such as imposter feelings, perfectionism or burnout enabling you to manage things differently next time around.
I offer structured packages over an agreed period of time, tailored to your needs. This includes an individual session where you can receive feedback on your CV and interview style; a three session package to explore your best career fit and a six session package to work through the psychology of change and focus on personal confidence and identity prior to moving onto practical next steps.
I utilise career tools including Bridges’ transition model, MBTI, career timelines, strengths and values exercises and draw upon concepts from Gestalt, Seligman and Nancy Kline to support our sessions. I provide pre-coaching questions, set activities between sessions and follow-up emails to keep progress on track. Following completion of a package, discrete sessions are available on request.
My Registration Number is 11161875 to verify my status as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

I offer flexible coaching packages tailored to your needs through 'walk and talk' sessions, in-person meetings at agreed locations (West or South-West London) or online discussions.
